Q&A

Q: Why do you use a poodle as your logo?
Alina: That's a very hard question. I'm not sure what to say, but there's definitely a deep meaning behind it, even if I don't know exactly what. Perhaps you'll find out after Metal Family ends.

Q: Will "Smell Like Cherry" [new WhoAreThoseFreaksOnStage song from the clip] come out on any music streaming services?
Dima: Yes. WhoAreThoseFreaks will have a full album. I'm not sure how many songs there will be. At least 5.

Q: What was it about Lif that made Dee interested in her?
Alina: Dee's an unusual guy, so logically he's interested in a girl who's just as unusual. Plus she's pretty.

Q: Are you adopted?
Alina: (in Heavy's voice) You're adopted!
Dima: (in Heavy's voice) I'll ban you!

Q: How many months (pregnant are you)?
Alina: 7.

Q: Will there be romantic episodes with Dee and Lif in the second season?
Alina: (playfully) Yeah, I guess.
Dima: And not just one.
Alina: And not just in the second season.

Q: What are Ches's favorite types of incenses?
Dima: (in Ches's voice) Different ones. I like burning plastic. Lizard tail. Some weed. Depends on the day.

Q: How long is episode 3?
Dima: Between 27 and 28 minutes. 

Q: What are the strangest offers you've received for the show?
Alina: It was probably fake, but we've gotten an email from Netflix once. We didn't even look, to be honest. It'd be too much responsibility. Plus it'd slow down the production, because we'd have to look for a team, etc. Just look at Hazbin (Hotel).

Q: What do you think about the ship Dee x Ches?
Dima: (in Ches's voice) To each their own.
Alina: To be honest, we're pretty chill about any ships, simply because we don't think of fan interpretations of the characters as our own. We separate them. So it's totally cool if you like certain ships.

Q: Will the character who spies on Dee be revealed?
Alina: It's a secret.

Q: When's the next WhoAreThoseFreaksOnStage song?
Alina: That's an interesting question, because... Let me ask this: does anyone here have a guitar? [someone from the audience gives a guitar to Dima] Okay, we'll continue with the Q&A while Dima is tuning the guitar.

Q: Why does Glam hate fish?
Alina: I thought he already answered that question. They stink. Oh yeah, and they're prone to depression. Who needs fish? Of course, I'm a fish (Pisces) myself, but...

Q: Do you plan on making a romantic route with Ches?
Alina: Believe me, if it were up to me, I'd do it. But Ches has his own unique understanding of romance. He's probably more romantic with his guitar than anyone else. [responds to the audience] Aunt Anna? I'm not sure who's more important to him, his guitar or aunt Anna.

Q: Will we see Gustav in the next episode?
Alina: Not in the next episode.

Q: In the season 2 trailer, there's a shot with a spoon and alcohol. Is it related to the comic or is it a spoiler?
Alina: It's related to the spoiler.

Q: Will there be a comic about Dee's classmates?
Alina: I hope it won't be a spoiler, but we're planning to make the next comic about our younger friends, Dee, Heavy and...someone else. But it'll happen only after the 4th or 5th episode.

Q: Are character Q&As cancelled because Ches made fun of a young girl?
Alina: We already answered that question yesterday, but I can repeat it. Q&As were made for the fans, and we're scared that, if the fans reacted this negatively, they'll continue to do so.

Q: What's your favorite tea and what other new segments (Q&As, Imagine, etc) await us?
Alina: Dima's favorite tea is earl grey, and mine's jasmine green tea. As for the new segments...
Dima: We don't really know. We're trying to focus on the episodes for now.
Alina: Maybe we'll come up with a new one to show off some characters, but, unfortunately, they won't have any viewer interactions.

Q: Do you still use a floor-standing AC? [a reference to Burning #1]
Alina: No, it broke. And the next one broke too.

Q: Will we see Ches's father, and who are you having, a boy or a girl?
Alina: The first is a spoiler. The second, a boy.

Q: Who's your favorite character?
Dima: Mine's Lif. She hasn't been shown enough yet. When she will, maybe someone will understand why.
Alina: As much as I endlessly love Ches, I'd have to say Glam. Because it all started with Glam.

Q: Can you tell us about your other projects?
Dima: Before MF we used to work on projects at our jobs, but we weren't enthusiastic about them. So we can't really tell you much about them. Currently we only work on MF.

Q: What did Dee ask Ches to hold for him?
Alina: (laughs) Not all of you here are 18, so... [audience screams] Wait, no, this isn't the official answer! Get your mind out of the gutter! Anyway, our project is 18+ and someday you'll learn the answer.

Q: Have you ever had a dream about MF characters?
Alina: I think I have. And don't worry, it wasn't dirty.
Dima: I haven't.

Q: What's Dee's favorite Stephen King book?
Alina: Oddly enough, Dee's likes Stephen King works that aren't really supernatural or horror.
Dima: He's more into psychological horror.

Q: Will there be canon LGBT characters?
Alina: Well, Anna is a pretty interesting character... That's all I'll say.

Q: How will you name your son?
Alina: We picked a name but we won't say it yet, just in case.

Q: Have you ever compared your relationship to Dee and Lif?
Alina: No, not at all. Though when I was in school, there was this guy who liked this goth girl, and he was a straight A student. I think something from those two unintentionally slipped into these characters.

Q: What's Dee's favorite Black Veil Brides song?
Alina: That's a great question, but I can't answer it. Although... [talks to Dima] Alright, fine, we'll be predictable about this. It's probably "Ritual", the song from the season 2 teaser.

Q: Will we learn more about Ches?
Alina: Yes, you'll learn more than what you currently know.

Q: Ches's full name?
Alina: You from the tax office, dude? [reference to Ches Q&A]

Q: Does Anna have feelings for Victoria?
Dima: If we tell you now, it'll be a spoiler, sorry. We'll reveal more about Anna in the future.

Q: How many comics do you plan on making, and what projects will you work on after MF?
Dima: We make comics when they're needed, as additions to the story, so we can't say how many there'll be yet. As for our next projects, we have so many ideas that...we'll either start selling them (laughs) or just work on them until we get old.

Q: Ever thought of making a MF animated movie?
Dima: A long time ago we thought about turning season 3 into an animated movie, but there'd be too much information. We don't see the point of doing that.

Q: What motivated you to work on this project?
Alina: We just had a lot to say, so we chose to do that through this project.

Q: In which episode will the character voiced by Lina appear? [Co-CEO of Phoenix Animation and the creator of My Student Spirit.]
Alina: She doesn't voice anyone. We were planning to give her a role, but it was too small. But Fedor Comix will voice someone. [CEO of Phoenix Animation.]

Q: Will we see fragments of Heavy's personal life in the 2nd season?
Dima: Well, he's still on Instagram. He'll keep posting stuff from his life there.

Q: At what age did Dee start watching My Little Pony?
Alina: It was his conscious adult decision.

Q: You have a very big English fandom. Are you gonna release the comics in English?
Alina: It's heartbreaking, but because of the current (political) situation, we have no idea if it'll happen.
